An alloy with average mechanical properties that's primarily used in the mechanical engineering and automated machinery construction industries.

Aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy. An alloy used for the construction of space frames and sub frame for cars, boats, and hot moulded components. Medium-high mechanical properties, good resistance to corrosion.

Availability

The 6082 is available in the T6 hardened state for sheets ranging from 1 to 6 mm thick. For plates in the hardened, stretched and tempered state (T651) in the standard sizes:
